Chaltén
El Chaltén is
a village settled inside National Park Los Glaciares,
in the heart of the patagonic southern mountains,
at the
foot of mythical Fitz Roy Mt. Its pure natural
environment offers privileged scenery with multiple
choices in outdoors activities
and mountaneering.
The area has a lot of
excursions to make, like visiting panoramic points
a few minutes walking distance or climbing the
vertical rock walls, only reserved for the best
climbers. Briefly, here are the main activities
that can be performed in the area: trekking, climbing,
camping, horseback riding, excursions and other
as photography, climbing courses, flora and fauna
observation, fishing, rafting or visiting local
farms called “estancias”. All this
has made El Chaltén the national trekking
capital of Argentina.
