Day
1 – SALTA
Flight from Buenos Aires to Salta. Transfer to the Hotel.
Visit to this city in the Argentinean northwest where
colonial architecture building remains along with the
20th century modern style. Cathedral, San Francisco
Church, Carmelite convent, Saint Bernard hill, residential
neighborhoods, and San Lorenzo Summer Village.
Day 2 – SAFARI A LAS NUBES
Breakfast and departure towards the Quebrada del Río
Toro, following the Train to the Clouds
path., we will be able to see zig-zags and some tunnels
from our vehicle. In Puerta Tastil, we will drive away
from the train rail track and we will visit Santa Rosa
de Tastil and we will enjoy the polychrome of the hills
in the canyon. Before getting to San Antonio
de los Cobres we will reach 4000 mts of height
only to go down up to 3770 mts when arriving at the
town. We have left behind the canyon landscape y we
will find ourselves immerse in the landscape of the
Puna. An hour after having left San Antonio de los Cobres
the Salinas Grandes (Great Salt Mines) will appear beyond
the horizon, a sea of salt for wich we will be heading.
We will be standing on them and then we will take a
walk along these great salt mines. We will leave the
salt mines behind and its strong winds in order to reach
the Cuesta del Lipán and then we will get to
Purmamarca following the “camino
de los colorados” , situated at the foot of the
Cerro de los 7 Colores (Seven Color Hill).
We will have some spare time to visit it and then we
will continue once in the Quebrada de Humahuaca
up to TILCARA. Lodging.
Day 3 – QUEBRADA DE HUMAHUACA
Breakfast and visit to the archaelogical museum and
the worldwide web known "Pukara"
(ancient aborigine fortress which is surrounded by a
wonderful landscape of cactus and polychromatic mountains.
We will go on visiting the Quebrada de Humahuaca
and its typical little towns Huacalera y Uquía,
arriving finally in Humahuaca, an old aborigine city.
Spare time for lunch and to visit the craftsman’s
market, the church, Cabildo and Santa Barbara Tower.
Then we will continue our itinerary northwards in the
direction of the puna to go through the sub Andean hills
and reach the town of Iruya, wich is
set up in the middle of the hill. Lodging.
Day 4 – IRUYA
/ JUJUY
Breakfast. Spare time to visit the town. Then departure
on our way back with a stop in the city of JUJUY
to see its most relevant sightseeing attractions: Casa
de Gobierno y su Salón de la Bandera, Catedral.

Day 5 - JUJUY
/ BUENOS AIRES
Breakfast and transfer to airport (timetable to arrange)
to take flight back to Buenos Aires.
