Day
1 - BUENOS AIRES / TUCUMAN
Departure from Buenos Aires airport to: SAN MIGUEL DE
TUCUMAN .Transfer to hotel. Lodging. By the afternoon,
city tour and surroundings, Parque 9 de Julio, Casa
del Obispo Colombres, Iglesia de la Merced, Cerro San
Javier, Dique El Cadillal. By night, light and sound
show at the Historical House where the independence
act was signed.
Day 2 – TUCUMAN
/ TAFI DEL VALLE
Breakfast and trip to Acheral, Quebrada de los Sosa,
Monumento al Indio, getting to: TAFI DEL VALLE. Brief
visit to the city including the Jesuit museum and lodging.
Free afternoon to enjoy the lovely landscape.
Day 3 - TAFI DEL
VALLE / CAFAYATE / SALTA
Breakfast and trip through the Aconquija massif to go
through the Abra El Infiernillo (3043 mt above sea level).
Traveling the Calchaquies valleys, we'll go through
Amaicha del Valle, getting to CAFAYATE Free time. Visit
to one of the most famous wineries of the region, with
wine sampling. Then, start of our travel through unequaled
beauty landscapes: Medanos, La Yesera, Quebrada las
Conchas, Valle de Lerma. By mid afternoon, arrival to
SALTA Lodging.
Day 4 - SALTA
Breakfast. Visit to the most important touristic points
of this city: Cabildo, Cathedral, San Francisco church,
Guemes monument, Craftman's market and Quebrada de San
Lorenzo.
Day 5 – TRAIN
TO THE CLOUDS
Breakfast and transfer to Railway station to take the
full day tour on the worldwide famous train reaching
La Polvorilla bridge at 4.220 m high (San Antonio de
los Cobres) Departure from Salta at 7:00. Return by
22:00 hs.
Day 6 – QUEBRADA DE HUMAHUACA
Breakfast and excursion going through Reyes and Tumbaya,
we'll reach Purmamarca with its multi-colored hills,
the Posta de los Hornillos and Maimara, Tilcara where
we'll visit its imponent Pucara, Huacalera and Uquia.
We'll cross through the Capricorn Tropic to reach HUMAHUACA
Free time to visit the craftman's market, church, Cabildo,
Santa Barbara tower. On our way back, visit to JUJUY
city including: Government house and its impressive
Flag parlor, Cathedral. Return to Salta.
Day 7 - SALTA /
BUENOS AIRES
Breakfast and transfer to the
local airport. Flight to Buenos Aires.
NOTE: If the Train to the Clouds does not operate
or in case tourists prefer to go on this excursión
by land we offer to do it on days 4 and 5 lodging 1
night in Tilcara ( Quebrada de Humahuaca).
