A – Mendoza
Day 1: Flight Buenos Aires /
Mendoza – Reception at the airport and transfer
to the hotel, where we will meet the specialist
in wines who will stay with us along our trip.
At midday we will have lunch at a typical restaurant,
during which we will start to get familiar with
the local wines. After lunch, and having enjoyed
the traditional “siesta mendocina”
(nap), we will go on a city tour trying to get
immersed in the local culture, which is a fundamental
aspect to the understanding of the wine process.
This visit will end up in a course called Introduction
to the Wine Tasting Technique, which will be conducted
by a specialist in oenology. The expert will introduce
us to the wine world, its process and elaboration
techniques, as well as to the importance of the
cork in the bottle and the use of drinking cups
to taste wine. After the class, which will last
two hours approximately, we will have the chance
to participate in an optional dinner party with
directed wine tasting. Back to the hotel.
Day 2: Breakfast. Visit to Mendoza’s
Productive Oasis. Visit to La Rural winery and
López winery. Lunch at the winery La Agrícola,
Zuccardi family, where we will enjoy exquisite
Argentine meat (goat, cow, pork, lamb)along with
house wines. All this will be accompanied by local
folk music. Following this, a visit to Viniterra
Winery. Along sunset in The Andes, we will get
back to the hotel. Optional dinner at Wine Bar
with directed tasting.
Day 3: Breakfast. Nieto Senetiner
winery and Viña Amalia. Back to Mendoza
city. Free lunch and afternoon. Optional activities
suggested for the afternoon: 1- Visit to Fabre
Montmayou and Doliom wineries ( or any other winery
you may be interested in), 2- Excursion to Villavicencio,
3- Hot springs at the Cacheuta Hotel. Sunset and
as farewell from Mendoza, we will take part in
a dinner party at the well-known restaurant 1884,
whose owner is Chef Francis Mallmann or at the
Azafran Almacén de exquisiteces Restaurant.
Day 4: Breakfast and transfer
to airport. Flight Mendoza / Buenos Aires
Circuit B
– Mendoza / Tupungato /
San Rafael

restaurant, during which we will start to get
familiar with the local wines. After lunch we
will go on a city tour trying to get immersed
in the local culture, which is a fundamental aspect
to the understanding of the wine process. After
the visit, we will set off to the Posada Salentein
in Tupungato. This hotel is located in the pre-mountain
range area of Tupungato (120km away from the city)
where we will lodge and participate in a class
called Introduction to the Wine Tasting Technique,
which will be conducted by a specialist in oenology.
The expert will introduce us to tasting techniques,
the importance of the cork in the bottle and the
use of drinking cups to taste wine. After the
class, which will last two hours approximately,
we will have the chance to participate in a dinner
party with directed wine tasting.
Day 2: Breakfast. Set off to
Valle de Uco. Visit to Finca La Celia and Lurton
wineries. Lunch at the Posada Salentein where
we will enjoy exquisite Argentine meat (goat,
cow, pork, lamb)along with house wines. All this
will be accompanied by local folk music. Following
this, a visit to Salentein Winery. Along sunset
in The Andes, we will get back to the hotel. Optional
dinner at Wine Bar with directed tasting.
Day 3: Breakfast. Afterwards,
set off to visit Nieto and Viña Amalia
wineries. As farewell from Mendoza, we will take
part in a dinner party at the well-known restaurant
1884, whose owner is Chef Francis Mallmann or
at the Azafran Almacén de exquisiteces
Restaurant. Back to the hotel.
Back to Mendoza city. Optional activities suggested
for the morning: 1- Visit to Fabre Montmayou and
Doliom wineries ( or any other winery you may
be interested in), 2- Excursion to Villavicencio,
3- Hot springs at the Cacheuta Hotel. Optional
adventure excursion, horse riding or trekking.
Day 4: Early in the morning
after breakfast, we will set off to cross the
desert heading for an oasis at the south of the
province. We will get to San Rafael city where
we will go to Finca Los Alamos for lodging. We
will immediately visit Jean Riviere winery, located
in the outskirts of the city. Then we will have
lunch where we will learn about southern wines.
After lunch, we will visit the traditional Bianchi
and Suter wineries, touring their premises and
tasting their products. In the afternoon, we will
get back to Los Alamos. Dinner with directed tasting.
Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel.
Leaving for the airport in Mendoza city. Flight
Mendoza / Buenos Aires.
